Hitesh Rikki Madan releases the official audio of his award-winning composition Aao Naa, the acoustic “lockdown” version of which won Music Composer of the Year and Best Rock Artist at The Clef Music Awards 2022.
Aao Naa in its new and original avatar is an uptempo, pop-rock number, a complete contrast to the 2021 release, especially with Arriv and Advy having developed mature voices ever since. Advy, who was quite unhappy that he was made to play wood blocks in the unplugged version, is thrilled to be able to redo the song and has owned it, both with his drumming and singing. Arriv’s immaculate bass playing and singing lifts the song.
But, what stands out is Hitesh’s guitar work- the solos, riffs, plucks, tone, so smooth and skillful, all reflecting the decades of experience behind him. That the melody is a winner is known, given the accolades the previous version earned, but the arrangements and performances on this one is remarkable.
The telephonic voice in the intro sets the story in the song of love far away and thus the longing cry Aao Naa. All three of them have beautifully sung their parts to emote love, melancholy, desire, and have kept it tight in this 3:27 minute song. Stream now!
